a blog post from DrAxe.com. His blog is one of my top 5 favorites.
A Naturopath, Dr. Josh Axe’s tag line is “Food is Medicine”. His blog sets the bar high for alternative health remedies. It includes extensive information on the benefits of essential oils, superfoods, recipes for meals as well as home made beauty treatments and health remedies like home made tooth paste.
If you’ve been living “all natural” for a while, coconut oil pulling isn’t a new idea. I’ve been doing it for a few years and the benefits can’t be understated.
The basic idea is to take about a tsp of coconut oil and swish it through your teeth for about 20 minutes or so, long enough for the blood to completely circulate through your whole body.
I’m a new convert to coconut oil, and use it in cooking and on my skin. I have never thought to use it on my teeth though…..hmmmm…thanks for this. 🙂

I’m so glad the post resonated with you! I love coconut oil too! Lol! For all of the things you can do with it, it’s so inexpensive compared to other oils! (Especially the ones I use to make face lotions and treatments! I actually have taken pages of notes on it and I’ll do a post on coconut oil. This weekend, I used coconut milk to make a hand soap and body wash! They smell so good and make my skin really soft.
Dr. Axe has another post, something like 100 uses for coconut oil. You may enjoy that too. 🙂 thanks for reading and commenting! 🙂
